We want our kiddos to be at school everyday and be ready for learning at 9a.m. Please do what you can to make sure they are on time and at school.
I am a kid lovin', multi-taskin', small town girl. I teach 5th grade. I feel like I am a teacher because I believe I can change lives. I love watching kids transform throughout the year. The transformation occurs by creating a sense of urgency for learning and by motivating them to do their best each and every day — all while holding them to high standards. I believe kids crave structure and appreciate a teacher who is both fair and consistent. I believe kids want to feel loved, appreciated, and respected. Relationships are everything. Once the relationship is established, learning can take place. The relationship is not only important between the teacher and student, but the parents/family members too. We all share the common goal of the success of the child both socially and academically. The kids change by being held to high expectations and taking a personal investment in their growth and learning. Once they know I believe in them, they start to believe in their own self, too.
