Today we accomplished a great deal even though we have been very talkative. We discussed Earth Day this morning and how we can only recycle certain materials. Ask your child if they can recycle a certain object you pick out from home! Next, we talked about the problem with misplaced trash and the effect it has on our life and other wildlife. When we finished, we moved into our research project and discussed making a glossary. After that, the students had time to finish their research. We are hoping to begin turning our notes into paragraphs tomorrow or Wednesday. After lunch, we had our math lesson on arrays and multiplying. The students have a one-sided homework sheet - page 38. To conclude our day, we looked at some pictures of what happens when trash ends up in lakes and oceans. We got into groups and discussed what we could put on a poster to persuade others to not litter. Tomorrow we will take these ideas and create a poster! Have a nice night!
