5/16/12

This morning, we had a special Good Behavior Assembly. The Education Coordinator from the Henson Robinson Zoo came and showed us some very interesting animals. We even each had a chance to pet the chinchilla. It was a wonderful assembly!!! When we returned to our room, we wrote a thank you note to the presenter from the zoo. Then, we wrote an extended response together about the story we read yesterday. The kids did a nice job. We will take our End of Quarter Extended Response tomorrow. This afternoon, we completed more on our Math Topic: Data. The students did a wonderful job with line plots and comparing data. They have a two sided homework sheet to complete tonight. The test on Topic 20 is tomorrow. We also worked on a lesson about proper nouns. Finally, we read a Scholastic News about camouflage insects. The Reading Week Challenge for the evening is to write down everything you read on a piece of paper and bring it back tomorrow. Please check Wednesday Folders for important information and graded work. Don't forget about of Information Exchange tomorrow from 1:45-2:45. You are welcome to attend.
