3 days ago 7th Grade Activities: Last week, seventh graders completed their "Talking Head Collage." This week, they are completing the writing for the collage on Monday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, students are taking their final district writing assessment of the year. We will conclude the week, and year, with team building activities! 8th Grade Activities: Today, eighth graders completed a "compliment" activity. May 13, 2013 7th Grade Activities: This week, seventh graders are completing their "Talking Head Collage." They will not be attending AVID on Thursday due to the 7th grade trip. May 6, 2013 7th Grade Activities: This week, seventh graders are beginning a creative project in which they will make a "Talking Head Collage," which will include our interests, goals, dreams, and character traits. Students will be working on this project throughout the week. 8th Grade Activities: This week, eighth graders are completing the college current event activity. May 3, 2013 7th Grade Activities: This week, students completed their college current event activity by reading an article and summarizing the main idea. We also watched a very powerful and motivational movie, "Freedom Writers." 8th Grade Activities: This week, students presented their character traits Comic Life projects. Today, they chose their own article to mark the text and if time allowed they began their writing. Today's Activity/8th Grade: Eighth graders are wrapping up the character traits Comic Life activity. Apr 22, 2013 Today's Activity/7th Grade: On Monday, seventh grade AVID students are completing the team building activity that we started last week. Students will participate in tutorials on Tuesday. Today's Activity/8th Grade: We are beginning a fun, new WICOR activity on Monday in AVID. Students are choosing a cartoon character to whom they can relate and using Comic Life to create a display about the common character traits. Students will participate in tutorials on Tuesday. Apr 18, 2013 Today's Activity/7th & 8th Grade: We had a wonderful college visit to Millikin University on Wednesday! Students enjoyed touring campus, hearing a presentation and asking questions from the Admissions Department, and being treated to lunch. Students will participate in tutorials on Thursday.
