IN CLASS
We began class with independent reading and had time to collect notes for the, "Movie Poster and Letter to the movie producer." Next, students read myths in small groups and completed a character sketch detailing the literary elements.

HOMEWORK
Read 20 minutes or more. Don't forget to bring the book to class for independent reading.

Points will be issued for reading 20 minutes or more at home daily. Additionally, students must bring the book to class for reading. Points will be deducted for having forgotten either requirement. During 4th quarter, students who choose not to read thoughtfully or do not bring their composition notebook for recording pages read, will have points deducted.

Students should be taking notes for Letter to a Movie Producer and the Movie Poster. Please check the silver tab in your child's composition notebook. At this point, students should have begun taking notes on the book of his/her choice.

There will NOT be any more read alouds for the 4th quarter.
