3rd Hour A Day: Language and Literature
Today we focused on the Introduction of the Narrative Essay, which includes a “hook”. We discussed a variety of great beginning strategies, listened to several really good examples, created some with a partner, and finally began working on one for their own narrative. We also continued working with subjects, verbs, and avoiding run-on sentences in grammar.

We also checked problems 17 and 18 on page 31. Finally, we began Investigation #3, which examines greatest common factors and least common multiples. For homework, the students should do the Summary portion of the Common Factors worksheet, as well as the problems written below the Summary.
