Black Radishes by Susan Lynn Meyer

Jun 3, 2012 Just started this yesterday. This must be the summer of WWII books. Like Between Shades of Gray, this is also set during WWII. Although, it is told from the perspective a Jewish boy who has grown up in France.

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

May 24, 2012 I am currently reading this historical fiction piece. It is set during WWII. Finished this June 1st. It was a very good book about WWII. Unlike the multitude of WWII era books told through a Jewish perspective, this story dealt with struggles a Lithuanian family had when the USSR began invading neighboring countries under Stalin's rule. I would rate this book a solid 9.

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

May 24, 2012 Just finished this last week. This was an excellent book! The book deals with the topic of suicide and why Hannah choose to follow through with it. I thought that Jay Asher did an excellent job with his use of dual narration. I would rate this book a 9 out of 10. The genre of this book is realistic fiction.
