TPRS Rationale

TPRS stands for Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling.

TPRS is a very efficient method for using the target language in the classroom in a meaningful and comprehensible way. From the very first day of class, the teacher can use the world language being learned and build on the structures each new day of class. Students become quite proficient in understanding the new language the very first year, then in succeeding years, the ability to speak grows and grows.
