Summer Boost at Grant Middle School

Summer Boost at Grant Middle School is a program for current 6th and 7th grade students who would like to gain some skills to help them prepare for the next grade.  During Summer Boost, students will have engaging lessons that incorporate AVID and SEL strategies such as organization and self-advocacy into math and literature.   GMS teachers are excited to share this opportunity with our students!

Dates: June 14-July 2

Times; 9am-12pm

Location: In person Monday through Friday at GMS

Meals: Breakfast will be served up on arrival and students will have a grab and go lunch at dismissal

Transportation is provided for students in GMS boundaries.

Please return your technology device as required for all students for the 2020-2021 school year. Chromebook will be used only at school during our program, unless specifically assigned by the teacher.

Please contact Christopher Hood (chhood@sps186.org; 217-525-3170) with any questions. At this point (5/28), all spots have been filled for 6th and 7th grades. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list, do not hesitate to call and request. We do have several departmentalized (students with an IEP) positions still available.
