What is PTO/F.A.C.E.?

Dubois Elementary School needs your voice, energy and time! The PTO/F.A.C.E. team meets once a month to learn and set goals for the year to support student achievement. Our mission at Dubois Elementary School is to promote and encourage communication between parents, teachers, administration and the community.

PTO/F.A.C.E. Team meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 5pm in the library.

Title I Compact & Policy

Each Title I school shall develop, with parents, a school-parent compact that outlines how parents, the entire school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement while building partnerships to help children achieve high standards.

If you have not received and signed a compact here at Dubois Elementary School please contact your child's teacher.

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Act

 Subtitle VII-B of the McKinney-Vento Homeless
Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. § 11431 et seq.) It was originally passed in 1987.

Reauthorized in 2015 by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

DEFINITION: WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE SERVICES?

  •  Lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime

    residence—

  • • Doubled-up (sharing the housing of others due to loss of

    housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason.

  • • Living in motels, hotels, trailer parks, camping grounds due to

    lack of adequate alternative accommodations.

  • • Living in emergency or transitional shelters.

  • • Living in a public or private place not designed for human

    living.

  • • Living in cars, parks, abandoned buildings, substandard

    housing, bus/train stations, or similar settings
