LHS SUMMER SCHOOL
Dear Parent/Guardian and Student:
Summer School for LHS will be held at Springfield High School from June 12 - July 20. This is a great opportunity for students to earn credits that they may have lost during the 2022-23 school year. Lanphier’s Summer School is a free program and available to all students who are current students LHS.

Summer Session Calendar
June 12- July 20
Classes meet Monday- Thursday.
**No classes June 19, July 3 & 4** due to holidays.
Most of the classes are taught through the Edmentum platform, which allows students to move at their own pace. Regardless of the format of class, all classes are led by certified teachers.
Some students may finish their classes before the July 19, 2022 end date. However, there are two classes that require attendance from start to finish: Speech and Driver’s Education.
Attendance
Students who miss THREE Summer School days will result in students being dropped from the program. Every effort will be made to contact students before they are dropped. Tardies count as 1/4th of absence. Students who miss TWO days of Drivers Education classes will be dropped from that class.
Credit
All classes are for credit to be placed on your High School Transcript. This will affect GPA and class rank. Please check with the NCAA Eligibility Center for accreditation.
Students must attend Summer School according to the attendance policy outlined and complete all aspects of the assigned class. They must pass with a class average of 60% to receive credit.

Entering the School
Students will be able to enter Springfield High from the Northwest Annex doors, at the corner of West Washington and South Parker Ave.
Breakfast & Lunch
Students can grab breakfast between 7:45- 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be offered from 12:45-1:00 p.m. Both meals are grab and go options. There will be NO vending machines available in the building.
