The Mission and Vision of Springfield High School

SHS MISSION: Springfield High School will provide a learning environment designed to empower all students to find success academically and socially with a life-long sense of responsibility for their own learning.

SHS VISION: All Springfield High School students will be critical thinkers. To achieve this vision we will provide an environment that fosters curiosity and positive exploration through a variety of teaching strategies that allows for flexibility to meet the needs of our students.

SHS VALUE STATEMENT: Staff will provide daily opportunities for students to achieve success through student engagement, quality assessments and a positive school environment. Teachers will provide students with opportunities to respond to higher-level questioning through writing and thoughtful discussion.

SHS GOAL STATEMENT: 100% of teachers will consistently use evidence-based instructional practices.

Absences and Early Dismissals

On a day when a student is absent, parents are required to telephone the Attendance Office (525-3111) before 9:00 a.m. on the day of the absence. When absence of a predictable nature is to occur, parents are asked to notify the school in advance.
Also when calling for an early dismissal please call at least an hour in advance to the attendance office at the 525-3111 number.
