Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls interested in trying out for our District Co-op Softball team! Per the IESA’s addendum, we can now have softball as a school sport this fall. Tryouts will be held this Tuesday, August 4th, Wednesday, August 5th, and Thursday, August 6th at Lanphier High School softball field from 5:30-7:00pm. All girls must bring a mask and a softball glove, and their own water bottles. Other equipment such as your own bat, helmet, etc.. may be brought as well but not required. We suggest not buying any new equipment for tryouts.
There will be a parent meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 PM as the students begin their tryout.
Other important information: At any point, softball could be terminated per the Governor’s order. All social distancing guidelines will be followed, temperatures will be taken, COVID questions will be asked, and sanitation protocol will be followed. If your daughter makes the team, a sports physical is required to compete. More information will be shared on the first day of tryouts.
The School District 186 co-op district softball team consists of girls from all 7 middle schools. (LMS, WMS, JMS, FMS, GMS, Ball Charter and Iles) So feel free to let your friends know and Good Luck!!!
