Week 2 Remote Learning at Butler School

September 7, 2020

Hello Butler Families,
This is Mrs. Gage. I hope your family enjoyed this Labor Day weekend. I want to begin by saying again, congratulations on making it through the first week of school, specifically, remote learning. Your support was very much appreciated and no doubt provided Butler Staff and Students with a smoother transition into the 2020-21 school year. As Week 2 of school begins, teachers will continue to provide support to students in mastering the digital tools that will be utilized during remote learning. However, they will also strive to begin creating a classroom environment. This includes having processes, procedures and rules as we would in a face to face classroom. We are asking for your continued support in helping us achieve this goal by doing the following things. One, please make sure your child is on Zoom with the classroom teacher each day by 9am. Two, after your student gets logged on, please allow them to attend the session by themselves in a space where there will be minimal disruptions. Of course we understand that Kindergarten, First and Second Grade students may continue to need more parent support. Three, if you need to speak with the teacher right away, please get the teacher's attention by typing in the chat that you need help instead of speaking out during teaching. If you have a question that does not have to be answered right away, feel free to send the teacher an email. If the office can help you (ie. tech issues) feel free to call the school phone. Thank you so much in advance for your assistance. Once again, thank you for all you are doing to help our Bobcats, big and little, be successful at online teaching and learning. Your support has been amazing and absolutely appreciated! Thank you!
