Governor Bruce Rauner held a press conference at Dubois Tuesday morning to present an award and announce that we are one of 25 schools selected from across the state of Illinois to participate in the Illinois Bicentennial STEM Fusion program! Attending the event with the Governor were elected state officials, members of the Governor’s Advance Team, the Chair of the STEM Fusion Selection Committee, Field Coordinator for IMSA and the Illinois Bicentennial Commission. The award includes a 3 year partnership with IMSA. Some of the sponsors of the three-year grant include Boeing and Abbott Laboratories.
The Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) will provide an enriched, unique curriculum and will send instructors in to work with teachers to provide professional development that will allow us to bring modern learning fostering problem solving and inquiry based learning into our school.
