A field trip to the Springfield African American Historical Museum was designed to allow students to view objects from the Negro Baseball Leagues Exhibit on loan from the Negro League Baseball Museum in Kansas, Mo. This visit was part of an informal collaboration between the Boys and Girls Club after-school program and the Dubois School student mentor program members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc of Mu Delta Lamba Chapter. The mentors lead the students through a self-guided scavenger hunt through the exhibit. It was a must-experience for children and adults!
