Dear Dubois families -
As we get closer to schools end, many times students and adults alike forget the rules that we have to make everyone safe here. At dismissal please park your car legally and on public property to walk up and retrieve your child. Leaving your car unattended in the street, talking on a cell phone while in a school zone, smoking on school property and parking on private property are all things that are illegal. I receive comments weekly about adults who are not following these guidelines. Remember that we
must all work together to make our school safe for everyone.
I have had several questions about dress code for students. Students should not wear clothes with ragged hems or tears/holes in them. Additionally students can wear short sleeves or sleeveless shirts, but be sure tank tops are appropriate. They should cover the majority of the shoulder and the arm hole should not reveal the child's chest, side or back. Last but not least rubber or plastic flip flops are unsafe at school and should be left at home.
We are planning a few end of the year family activities that I hope you can participate in. First, we had the health fair last week, we are planning a family picnic which used to be a Dubois tradition I understand and we are going to have one of our movie nights on May 20th. Our last day of school is June 6th with students dismissing at 10:00.
Thanks for all your support this year!
