DUBOIS PTO NEWS

September 9, 2013

Dear Parents & Guardians:

We hope everyone has had a successful start to the new school year. We would like to thank everyone who came out to Cherry Berry for our back to school celebration. We earned over $300.00 for our school! What a great start!!

Give With Target - Again this year Target is giving back to their community by help out area schools. In order to participate in this opportunity, we are asking all of our families to go to www.givewith.Target.com and vote for Dubois Elementary School. Once we have received 25 votes Dubois will receive a $25.00 gift card with an additional $1.00 for every vote over 25. With everyone’s help, this can mean much needed supplies for our school. You can also access this program by going to Target’s website and clicking on the link or you can do it through Facebook. Please share your vote on your Facebook page and ask friends and family to vote too. It only takes a few seconds to vote. They made it very quick and easy!

Max Dollars for Education - County Market is also giving back to schools through their Max Dollars for Education Program. If you are a County Market shopper with a Max card, you simply need to register your existing card with Dubois. This year, you don’t even have to fill out a card and drop at the service desk. You can go to www.mycountymarket.com and register your MaxCard. Please also share this information with friends and family. The more MaxCards registered for our school, the more help we get.

Box Tops for Education - Again this year we will be collecting Box Tops for Education. If you are a returning Box Tops family we thank you for your continued support. If you are new to Box Tops it is super easy to get started. Simply cut the small pink Box Top stamp from products you already purchase for your family (ie Kleenex, General Mills Cereals, Betty Crocker baking products, Pillsbury and Green Giant frozen foods, Hanes apparel and much more). Send the cut out Box Tops to your child’s teacher and our Box Tops coordinator will take it from there. Box Tops really do add up at Dubois!

Market Day Monthly Grocery Program - If you don’t already have a Market Day account, it is very quick and easy to set one up by going to www.Marketday.com and entering our school code 8957. When placing online orders you have the option to pay with credit card at the time you place your order or you can check the pay at sale option and pay with cash, check or LINK on the day the orders come in. Paper orders cannot be prepaid and cannot be paid for with credit card/debit card at time of pickup. All paper orders must be paid for by cash, check, or Link, at the time of pickup.

Volunteer Opportunity - Our school is looking for assistance in the library. Mrs. Cox, our librarian, is in need of volunteers to assist her on Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 to 2:45 and/or Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 11:00. She is also looking for someone to work independently shelving books on Tuesdays (hours to be determined by volunteer). If you would like to volunteer, please contact April Shull at 725-5183.

Finally we would like to invite everyone to join us for our first PTO meeting of the school year on Tuesday, September 10th at 6:00 pm in the school library. We look forward to see you there!!
