The week of Oct 3rd, men from all walks of life read to students in every classroom at Fairview. From a pilot to hockey players to artist, police, district officials, a board member and even a former U.S. Marshal and finalist for Springfield's First Citizen award were on hand to share how reading is used in their profession and to read to Fairview students. Thanks to all of our visitors for taking time out of your busy schedules to read to our students. Also, thanks to the District for providing books for 3 of our classrooms and to our parents who provided books for all remaining classrooms through fundraising. Teachers used books to extend the skill of the week in their classrooms and all students took home a book at the end of the week to add to their personal library.
