The Dress Code of Springfield District 186 and the Enhanced Dress Code of Franklin Middle School will be enforced starting the first day of school. Parents are asked to help us by ensuring that your student comes to school in clothing that fits. Belts are REQUIRED. Sagging and bagging will NOT be allowed nor will extremely tight fitting clothing. Students may NOT wear clothing with holes. Exposed cleavage or exposed midriff will not be allowed. Students not in compliance will be sent to the office. Students will be allowed to correct their clothing. If correction is not possible, they will call parents for a change of attire. Students will receive detentions for dress code infractions. The complete Enhanced Dress Code can be found in the Welcome Newsletter.
Arriving at school and class on time will also be required of all students. Students who are tardy will receive consequences as detailed in the tardy policy. School begins at 8:00 AM. Students are to go to their lockers between 7:35 and 7:55 to get all materials needed for the morning. All students are to be in their advisory period by 7:55 AM. Parents please make sure students have arrived to school with ample time to prepare for the day.
