How did Franklin’s Gifted Program better prepare you for where you are today?
Franklin's Gifted Program is great because it takes kids who love to learn and pushes them to maximize their potential as students. Coming out of Franklin, I had a sense of how to be a good student, which I carried with me through high school, college, and now into graduate school. The Gifted Program at Franklin creates well rounded students and gives them the skills to succeed, no matter where they go. I learned things like how to prepare and study and how to organize and manage my time which are essential skills for any student who wants to be successful.
What are some of your favorite memories of Franklin?
The best part of Franklin Middle School was definitely the teachers. All three years, I had teachers that I absolutely loved. The teachers at Franklin push their students but at the same time, make class fun and make their students want to learn. Outside of class, I was on state-placing teams in basketball and scholastic bowl which were both so much fun. Many of the friends I made at Franklin are people I'm still good friends with today. Overall, I absolutely loved Franklin and couldn't imagine a better middle school experience.
