Good morning Grant Middle School, today is Friday, October 18th 2019


The Halloween is the last Friday after Halloween on Nov. 1st — To be eligible students must have all passing grades through 10/29 and 1st qtr. 4 or fewer referrals in October with no assigned In-House: No Unexcused absences for October.


Attention students the Fall 2019 Book Fair opens next week during lunch and Parent teacher conferences this the book fair runs until Nov. 1st !!!!


Miss Gail and the cafeteria crew will be sponsoring find the hidden pumpkins — Find a hidden pumpkin and answer the question get a prize from Mr. schurman’s office — This starts Monday the 21st 

  Beta club t-shirts on sale at lunch by one and wear jeans every October Friday — all Money raised is going towards chemo care bags for cancer patients 


  POTG will meet Friday after school…please bring your own art supplies.


Everyone please wish Kyis Kinnel good luck this weekend at State Cross Country 


   Board game will meet on 10/22 & 10/29 after school per Mrs. Hayes

Drop Everything & Read — & today 5th period


(Learning lab is Thu. this week — make sure you have a signed Learning Lab pass & work to do. All students must be signed in by 2:40 — Know what activity bus you need to ride — we only have 3 buses to choose from - bus stop sheets can be found in bookshelf in main lobby .


Reminder students school starts at 8:00 every day — the building opens for breakfast at 7:30 — Here at Grant we are" On Time and Ready to Learn Every Day! "…. because it matters and so do YOU!


Tardy count 8th grade 10 — 7th grade 7 & 6th grade 10 tardies — Being on time & ready to learn is a daily expectation at Grant 


 8th graders had % attendance Thursday followed by 7th grade at % & 6th grade with % — whole building was at % - we need you here, it makes a difference .


Teacher attendance was 92% Thursday thank you


Students the expectation in the hallway is to use appropriate language at all times— We are at school, be mindful of the language and respectful if corrected.


Grant is a dress code school, advisory teachers please check for compliance and send any students to 121 A for corrections at this time 


 Students Cell phones are not allowed to be on you during the school day , they MUST be turned off and left in locker or better yet at home. Cell phones that are taken are subject consequences and parent pick up in order to return  


 Students this is  “our “ school, please show respect to building and grounds, by using trash cans and doing your part to keep Grant looking it’s best. Remember to be respectful of others property to and home from school. 


 The expectation at Grant is to keep your hands and feet to yourselves, at all times during the school day and on the way to and home from school— This means no “Play Fighting “


 Students for your safety please only cross at the designated crosswalk areas locate at Chatham Road / Stange & Amos
