Good morning Grant Middle School, today is Tuesday, December 3rd 2019 !!!

Volleyball Tryouts Thursday 2:30 - 4:00 for 7th grade   — Friday 4:30 - 6:00 for 8th graders 

No Pride of The General’s this week next meeting Thursday December 12th 

Scholastic Bowl practice has been cancelled today (Tuesday)  due to scheduling conflicts.  We will have practice on Thursday 12/4 in room 203 from 2:30-4:00.   

The learning lab is open this today & Th after school . — students must be signed in by 2:40 with a signed learning lab pass. Please make sure you know which activity bus you  ride.  Activity bus sheet with #’s and stops can be found on the bookshelf in the main lobby.

Lunch hour tutoring is available for Math and ELA please get a pass from teacher and they will tell what room to report to for help 

Grant students being on time and ready to learn is a daily expectation. Grant opens at 7:30 daily for breakfast and school starts every day at 8:00. 

Tardy count for — 8th grade — 7th grade  and 6th grade  — good job  being on time 

Daily attendance 8th grade % 88.0 & 7th grade was at %90.3 and 6th grade had %92.8 the building as a whole had %90.4

Teacher attendance was % 96 Monday   —  Thank you teachers for the excellent attendance this week it is  appreciated  

The following are daily reminders of Grant expectations and rules :

 

 

Students the expectation in the hallway is to use appropriate language at all times— We are at school, be mindful of the language and respectful if corrected.

 

Grant is a dress code school, advisory teachers please check for compliance and send any students to 121 A for corrections at this time 

 

 Students Cell phones are not allowed to be on you during the school day , they MUST be turned off and left in locker or better yet at home. Cell phones that are taken are subject consequences and parent pick up in order to return  

 

 Students this is “our “ school, please show respect to building and grounds, by using trash cans and doing your part to keep Grant looking it’s best. Remember to be respectful of others property to and home from school. 

 

 The expectation at Grant is to keep your hands and feet to yourselves, at all times during the school day and on the way to and home from school— This means no “Play Fighting “

 

 Students for your safety please only cross at the designated crosswalk areas locate at Chatham Road / Stange & Amos!!!!
