'Keep Kids In School Coalition' Sponsors Two Additional Clinician Dates

‘Keep Kids In School Coalition’ sponsors 2 additional clinician dates for District 186 children. The coalition is a collaborative partnership between The Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield Public School District 186, Central Counties Health Center, and the Sangamon County Department of Public Health.

Students will have an opportunity to receive a free physical and immunizations for a nominal fee. Families are encouraged to bring their medical card or insurance card to cover the minimal cost for immunizations. Please contact your child’s school if you plan to attend today’s clinic. Proof of physicals and immunizations must be provided to your child’s school by tomorrow, August 29th. Students who do not provide the required health information by, August 29th will be excluded from school on Tuesday, September 2nd and will not be allowed to return to school until all required health information is received in the school’s office.

The second clinic will be held at S.I.U. Healthcare. Please call 545-8000, ask for pediatrics and mention ‘Keep Kids in School Clinic’ to schedule an appointment. This clinic is only for students who are in need of physicals and immunizations. Students in need of sports physicals will need to contact their primary physician.
