6TH GRADE PE
6th graders leaving PE at the end of 4th block MUST be dressed in their school uniform! If you are seen leaving the building in your PE clothes, you will be issued after school detentions.
Students ~ Please remember to return your evaluations to Ms. Austin as soon as possible. You will receive a free McDonalds coupon when you turn it in.
DRESS CODE REMINDERS
• No water bottles in classrooms.
• Students must wear uniform pants appropriately. No sagging and no rolled up pant legs!
• Capri pants and shorts may now be worn!

• Springfield Youth Football League ~ Registration for tackle football for kindergarten through 8th grade will take place:
~ Saturday, May 15th from 9AM-1PM at Bank of Springfield Building - 9th & Madison
You must pay the $85 registration fee at time of registration. Checks should be made payable to SYF. Also, bring a copy of the player's birth certificate that the league can keep. Keep reading and recording your minutes! Be sure to check out the posters in the main lobby that are tracking your progress in the competition.
Please check out the showcase in the front lobby to see if you have overdue books that need to be returned to the library.
Please dig through your lockers today and return any library books that may be located within. Fines for overdue books are posted in the main lobby.
END OF THE YEAR TRIPS
Don't forget the end of the year trips! 6th & 7th graders will be going to Knight's Action Park on May 24th and 8th grade students will be going to 6 Flags on May 21st. In order to be eligible to go on either trip, you must be passing all of your classes, your attendance must be at least 91%, and you may not have any suspensions during 4th quarter.
Please turn in your reservations as soon as possible!
TALENT SHOW PARTICIPANTS
Talent Show participants will be called down to the gym around 12:40PM. Listen for the announcement! Students who have been selected to attend the talent show will be called down by grade level. 6th & 7th graders will be called down at the very end of 3rd hour and 8th graders will be called down at the very beginning of 4th hour. Your teachers have been given a list of the students who will be attending the talent show. Good luck to all the participants!
SHIRTS ON FRIDAYS
Every Friday until the end of the school year, 8th grade students may wear their 8th grade t-shirts. All other students may wear their JMS jaguar spirit shirts. The shirts cannot be altered in any way — no cutting and tying, no removal of sleeves, no writing added. You will still be expected to wear uniform pants. If you wish to purchase a spirit shirt, see Ms. Stewart in room 202.
Yearbooks are in!! If you ordered one, you can pick it up from Ms. J-C in room 115. There are still a few left. Purchase yours today for $22.
