TODAY IN HISTORY
On this day in 1773, a group of Massachusetts colonists disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians and went aboard three British tea ships anchored in Boston Harbor. They dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. The tea was worth around $18,000. The colonists were protesting the Tea Act of 1773. This midnight raid is known as The Boston Tea Party.
