Cell phones, iPods, MP3 players, CD players, cameras, etc. are to be kept in your locker at all times during the school day. You may not carry them in your pocket. You may not use them or carry them at lunch. If you choose to break the rule, your phone will be taken from you and it will be held in the main office. A parent will have to come to school to retrieve it.

Students are not to leave the classroom without a pass and an escort. Teachers ~ please be sure to leave specific sub plans stating that no students are to be in the hallways.

Teachers — if there is a student in violation of the dress code, please fill out a minor referral and call for an escort to room 110. T-shirts worn under uniform polo shirts must be white or match the color of the polo shirt.

No hornets or rubber bands are allowed at Jefferson! If you choose to have them in your possession, there will be severe consequences.

7th & 8th grade band will meet today.

6th grade band: We will be back to the Tuesday and Thursday schedule. Please allow 6th grade band students to come to these classes.

No J-Jazz today! We will practice Wednesday on stage. Students in track will be excused from track practice on Wednesdays in order to come to J-Jazz practice.

Remember that we have a meet tomorrow at Taylorville. You need to have your t-shirt in order to play. Our first match is at 4:45 PM, so we will leave Jefferson at 4 PM. You may either go home after school and be back by 3:45 PM, or you may stay in Miss Flesher's room after school until the bus leaves at 4 PM. We will return to Jefferson by 7:30 PM, so have a ride home at that time.

Students will be called down to the library to do make-up ISATs today.

There will be track practice today. Be dressed & ready to go, in the gym at 2:45 PM.

Starting today, you will be able to purchase "A+" coupons during lunch shifts for $1. This coupon may be used to guarantee an A+ grade on one daily assignment in literature or language arts. You must still complete the assignment. However, your grade will automatically be an A+! The coupons will be sold today, Thursday, and Friday and there is a limit of 2 per person. The money raised will go toward the purchase of books for the 8th grade 4th quarter autobiography project.

Please remember to get your signed end of the year field trip contract turned in as soon as possible. In order to participate in the 6th & 7th grade trip to Knight's Action Park or the 8th grade trip to Six Flags, you must be passing all of your classes; may not have more than 4 absences; and may not have any suspensions from school.
