• Cafeteria News
Students — please remember to sit on the appropriate side of the cafeteria during your lunch period! Mrs. Gordy and Mrs. Lawrence will be writing detentions for those that choose to sit on the wrong side of the cafeteria.
Main Entree: Macaroni & Cheese or BBQ Chicken Sandwich
Reminder: No flavored water, sport drink, or juice drinks will be allowed into the building after lunch!
• New Lunch Procedure
During all lunch periods today and tomorrow, students will practice lining up for re-entering the building. This is due to inappropriate behavior when enter the building. When the whistle is blown, the boys will line up along the cafeteria wall & the girls will line up along the computer lab wall on the blacktop. There will be no balls on the playground today or tomorrow.
• Halloween Dance
The next dance will be our Halloween Dance on October 20th. Any student with 2 or more office visits [bus referrals, majors, and/or minors] will not be allowed to come to the dance.
A 5-Star black binder has been lost. It has an accordian folder inside, a mesh pocket, and a side zipper. If you find it or know where it can be found, please tell your teacher.
• Picture Day
Picture day is October 12th. You must wear your uniform.
• PRIDE Winners
Mitchell Baker is the lucky winner in the "Find the Jaguar" contest. Mitchell found the jaguar with the poster of the Boys' Lockerroom Expectations.
Be on the look-out for the next jaguar sighting!
Congratulations to the following students! Your PRIDE cards have been drawn for a prize.
You may pick up your prize after school in the main office.
• Band/Music News
6th Grade Band: 1st hour - percussion; 3rd hour - clarinets & saxes
Don't forget your instruments and books!
J-Jazz will meet today & Wednesday after school. This is the last week to join.
There will be an informational meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, during each lunch period: 6th - room 103, 7th - room 211, & 8th - in the library. Everyone wishing to tryout must attend. If you cannot, you must talk to Ms. Zubal or Ms. C. Wells today!
• Dress Code
This is the last week that you will be allowed to wear shorts! On Tuesday, October 10th, you must begin wearing long pants.
Students — T-shirts worn beneath your polo shirt must be either white or the same color as your polo shirt. No exceptions!
Also, sweat pants are not allowed as part of Jefferson's dress code!
No more free uniforms will be issued from the main office! Sweatshirts are now on sale for $10 each.
Teachers — if there is a student in violation of the dress code, please fill out a minor referral and call for an escort to room 110.
