• OUTSIDE DAY FOR LUNCH BREAK UNLESS THE WEATHER DOES NOT PERMIT • 1:30PM DISMISSAL •
Remember ~ your day is what you make it. Let's make it a great one!
WELLNESS WAKEUP CALL
There are times when we have problems that are difficult and cannot be helped by taking a deep breath or writing in a journal, eating healthy or exercising. Those could be problems at home, at school, or anywhere else. Then it is important to talk to a trusted adult like your parent or guardian, teacher, school counselor, school nurse, principal, or other trusted adult. If you have a problem that is causing you a lot of stress, and the problem is not going away, then talking to a trusted adult can help. Your teacher, school counselor, school psychologist, school nurse, principal, or other adults you trust are safe people to tell your problems to at school, and they have special training to be able to help you.
Photos & Videos
Students may NOT take photos or videos while on the school grounds. There are several JMS students who may not be photographed or videoed by law. If you are asked to stop or asked to surrender your phone, you must comply. If you do not, your parent/guardian will be called and will have to come to school.
Lockers ~ Make sure you have your locker information and combinations. Lunch interventions/detentions will be issued for those who continually come to the office. You may NOT leave your binders or book bags on the floor by your locker. If you do, your bag or binder will be taken to the lost and found by the gym.
Trash on the Playground - There is too much trash being thrown on the ground after breakfast and after lunch. If you take food items outside, you MUST place your trash in the trashcans. If the extreme littering continues, no snack items will be sold during lunches.
Hall Passes - If you are in the hallway during class time, you must have a pass or be with a supervising adult. NO exceptions!
Bathroom Passes - Remember ~ you only have 12 bathroom passes per quarter. Use them wisely. Do not walk out of class if your teacher asks you to wait.
No Birthdays Today
Please do not send balloons, flowers, candy, cupcakes, etc. to celebrate student birthdays. Students should not wear birthday tiaras, sashes, buttons, etc. as these items are not part of the enhanced dress code. Our goal is to keep to a minimum the number of distractions in the learning environment.

Box Tops 4 Education
To be entered into the drawing, just bring in 10 unexpired boxtops attached to a "dollar" form and turn in to your 1st hour teacher. Extra forms can be found in the Jaguar News.
Let's go JMS ~ keep on turning in those boxtops! Every single boxtops adds up and is a way to help support our school. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations to the following students for having perfect attendance and being referral-free last week:
JMS is hosting a "hallway focused" poster design contest. We want you to create a poster that JMS can hang up in our hallways. Not only should your work be creative and visually exciting, but it should also explain the expectations of JMS. You can pick up a copy of the JMS hallway expectations in the Jaguar News. Please drop-off your submissions on a regular sheet of paper to Mrs. Goss-Rodgers in room 103 by Friday, February 3rd. Winners will be notified on Tuesday, February 7th and then the winners will transfer their ideas to a poster. Good luck!
