What's Grab & Go?
Grab & Go is a new breakfast program that we are trying for the next few months. Students will have the choice of the regular breakfast menu items or the Grab & Go bag breakfast. The bag will contain cereal, yogurt & breakfast bars. You will still eat your breakfast in the cafeteria.

Nooks & Kindles may not be brought to school.

Keep your hands to yourselves!

Restroom passes must remain in your planner. Any restroom pass sheet that is torn out of a planner will NOT be valid.

Please bring your PE clothes to the locker room before school between 7:50 & 8AM only on Mondays or Tuesdays. Take home PE clothes on Fridays only and put them in your hall locker only at assigned times ~ before/after school & before/after lunch.

Please remember to be quiet in the halls especially during lunch shifts.

Please be sure to check the "Jaguar News" bulletin board in the main lobby for important information.

Please remember to tuck in your shirts and to wear a solid color dark belt with your slacks/shorts. No neon color polo shirts are allowed. No gray or green shorts or pants are allowed. Please do NOT roll up your pant legs. No jackets or vests may be worn in the classroom. You may not wear rubber wristbands/bracelets, bandanas, hats, or gloves. Please keep your accessories to a minimum.

Please remember to get to class on time. No more tardies!

Please do not share your combination with a friend. If you are having trouble opening your locker, ask an adult for help. Also, do not leave your locker "set" to open.

Gum is not allowed at JMS!

No food is allowed on buses. You may have a water bottle.

Snack Attack
Snack Attack will only be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. We now have Texas Roadhouse peanuts for sale for $1 per bag.

Scholastic Book Fair
The book fair is this week! The theme this year is "Reading Oasis." You will be going to the book fair with your class during your library time. BRING MONEY ON YOUR LIBRARY DAY TO SPEND ON BOOKS AT THE FAIR.

Scholastic Bowl
There will be an informational meeting for students interested in joining the JMS Scholastic Bowl team today at 2:30PM in room 213. See Ms. Grace or Mrs. Goss-Rodgers for an information packet.

Yearbook Staff Meeting
There will be a meeting for the yearbook staff today after school from 2:40-4PM in room 204. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Nosa.

Box Tops for Education
Keep turning in your box tops!

Pasta for Pennies
We are collecting coins for our Pasta for Pennies cancer awareness campaign. Over 29,000 schools nationwide will be participating in this campaign. Students will be encouraged to bring in coins and place them in their classroom collection box. All money collected will go toward blood-based cancer research. We have collected $119.58 so far!

Our totals so far are:
1st place ~ Mrs. Horstman's class with $19
2nd place ~ Mrs. Beebe's class with $15.18
3rd place ~ Mrs. Goss-Rodgers' class with $14.84

For a $1 donation, students may wear a pink shirt with their uniform pants tomorrow to support our Pasta for Pennies collection!

United Way
Our bake sale continues today. Stop in the lobby on your way to the cafeteria to purchase goodies and to buy your ticket to attend the assembly tomorrow afternoon.

Girls On The Run Food Drive
Our Girls on the Run group is sponsoring a canned food drive. Please bring in canned goods this week. The food collected will be given to the Central Illinois Food Bank to be given to needy families.

Miles of Smiles
Miles of Smiles would like to come to JMS. and do free dental exams on any students who do not currently have a dentist. Students received permission slips from their 1st hour teachers. These slips must be returned no later than Tuesday, November 26th.

Please remember to follow all school rules & to show proper sportsmanship when attending a school sporting event. If you are removed from an event, whether at JMS or another school, you may be banned from attending any future extra-curricular events for the remainder of the school year.

If you have been sent to a Buddy Room, you may NOT attend the basketball game. This applies to players and cheerleaders too!
