Its Time....Lanphier Homecoming

September 7, 2012

Homecoming - Are you a freshman, sophomore, or junior and would like to be on homecoming court? Well this year you have your chance! Homecoming court is a celebration of school spirit for the entire school, so homecoming court is going to be different this year with the addition of one male and one female representing the freshman class, one male and one female representing the sophomore class, and two males and two females representing the junior class. We are also adding a senior homecoming king in addition to the senior homecoming queen this year. In addition to the king and queen, the senior class will also be represented by six additional males and six additional females. If you are a male or female interested in representing your class on homecoming court then you must pick up a petition from one of the following teachers in their classrooms on Monday, September 10th: Ms Cravens in Room 105, Mrs. Davis in Room 249, or Mrs. Pochynok in Room 304. Petitions will be due to one of these teachers on Friday, September 14th. You must meet the eligibility requirements to serve on court. No late petitions will be accepted. Elections for court will be held on Wednesday, September 19th. Good Luck!

The dance is September 29th and all grade levels are invited. While planning and shopping for the Homecoming Dance, keep the school dress code in mind. The dress is semiformal. No jeans, tennis shoes, jerseys or ball caps will be allowed. Ladies need to keep in mind that no bare midriffs will be allowed, belly piercing should not be exposed and dresses should not be so low that more than the middle of the back is exposed. Plunging necklines are unacceptable and all necklines should be appropriate and in compliance with the school dress code. However, spaghetti straps and strapless formal wear will be acceptable for the dance.
