-Any students wanting to be apart of the Student FACE meet Mr. Crites today during lunch periods. Any Staff wanting to be a part of the FACE contact Mr. Crites by email or call his extension. Looking for committed individuals.

-Students - in order to be considered on time for class, you must be in the classroom when the bell rings.  If you show up to class before the bell rings, ask to go the bathroom or your locker and then return to class after the bell rings, you are considered tardy and a tardy detention must be issued by your teacher.  This is a school-wide rule.  BE ON TIME FOR ALL OF YOUR CLASSES!

-If you are planning on attending the LHS v. Southeast football game, this Saturday at the SSHS football field, you are invited to wear school colors and hang out with the Orange Crush! Come out, make some new friends, and let's cheer on the Lions! Also, Orange Crush members are asked to meet Mr. Jackson near the concession stand by 1:45 pm. If you have any questions, or would like to join Orange Crush, please speak to Ms. Vargas in room 42 or Mr. Jackson in room 245.

-Attention Afternoon CACC students, when you arrive back to LHS from CACC you will not be permitted into the building until the 3:17 dismissal bell rings. This is effective immediately.

-Due to a circumstance beyond my control, Scholastic Bowl practice is cancelled this week.  We will practice again next week, Thursday, Oct. 14 after school. Thank you for understanding. We'll see you then.  Oh, for the rest of you? Join Scholastic Bowl. Be there Oct. 14 in room 225.  Punch and pie.

-There will be a paranormal club meeting in room 212 after school today. Everyone is welcome. See Mr. Roberts in room  212 if you have any questions.

-Try-outs for the girls JV and Varsity basketball teams will be held on Monday, November 1 and Tuesday, November 2 from 3:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. in the Lober-Nika (Main) gym. Anyone interested in trying out, must have a current physical, an athletic permit card, athletic fees paid and a completed concussion form turned in before try-outs. Any questions please see Coach Collins or Coach Daniel.

-Detentions can be served in the following locations: Room 39 before school at 8:00am, Room 39 after school at 3:22pm, Room 25 during both lunch shifts. Failure to serve detentions will result in a mega detention.

-Now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual: Today is National Hero Day! What would be some characteristics of a real-life "hero" in your opinion?
