Wednesday, October 20th - LANPHIER Daily Announcements

October 20, 2021

-Are you a student that is always on time for your classes? Well then this is your week! On Thursday, any student that has had less than three total tardies for the school year will be rewarded with an early dismissal to your lunch shift.  Your pass for early lunch dismissal will be given to you by your second hour teacher and you will need to show it to your teacher right before your lunch shift and wait for the announcement to dismiss you to your early lunch. Keep up the great work!

-Students - All  book bags and large purses MUST be put away in your locker 1st - 7th hours.  Do not bring them to class, lunch, or have them in the hallways throughout the school day.

-Seniors - Jostens is here today to take your graduation orders.  Please bring your completed form along with $60 down payment.  Jostens will be in the Commons from 7:30am to 12:30pm.

-The LHS Online Book Fair starts next week, Monday, October 25th and runs through Friday, November 5th. While books must be purchased online, you can still stop by the library to see interactive displays of books for purchase and to buy coffee, hot chocolate, and s'mores from the Around the Campfire Cafe! See you next week in the library!

-Black Student Union (or BSU for short) is a student group composed of people who share a love for Black culture. Our goal is to create a space to celebrate Black culture while teaching others about diversity by engaging in activities focused on belonging, empowerment, and voice. Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, October 21, after school in room 245. If you have any questions about BSU, please speak to Mr. Jackson in room 245. Now for a Moment of Silence

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

-Now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual: Which would make you happier—winning one million dollars in the lottery one time, or earning a million dollars every single year by working for it?
