-The LHS Online Book Fair starts next week, Monday, October 25th and runs through Friday, November 5th. While books must be purchased online, you can still stop by the library to see interactive displays of books for purchase and to buy coffee, hot chocolate, and s'mores from the Around the Campfire Cafe! -It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Tomorrow we would like everyone to PINK OUT the school! Wear your PINK tomorrow!
-SMTD bus passes are in students can see Miss Hickman in the guidance center (rm26) to pick them up.
-ATTENTION seniors. The date for the practice SAT day has CHANGED. Because of this, there is a NEW PERMISSION SLIP if you want to have an excused absence that day AND have already taken the SAT. The new permission slip is GOLD and can be picked up in the main office, from Mrs. Anderson in room 127, and from Mrs. Davis in room 249. Be sure to get a form and return it by TUESDAY, November 16th.
-There will be a paranormal club meeting after school on Friday in Room 212. See Mr. Roberts if you have any questions. It should last 30- 45 minutes. Everyone is welcome.
-Black Student Union (or BSU for short) is a student group composed of people who share a love for Black culture. Our goal is to create a space to celebrate Black culture while teaching others about diversity by engaging in activities focused on belonging, empowerment, and voice. Our first meeting will be held TODAY, after school in room 245. If you have any questions about BSU, please speak to Mr. Jackson in room 245.
-Try-outs for the girls JV and Varsity basketball teams will be held on Monday, November 1 and Tuesday, November 2 from 3:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. in the Lober-Nika (Main) gym. Anyone interested in trying out, must have a current physical, an athletic permit card, athletic fees paid and a completed concussion form turned in before try-outs.
