-Are you a student that is always on time for your classes? Well Today is your Day! Any student that has had less than three total tardies for the school year will be rewarded with an early dismissal to your lunch shift TODAY. Your pass for early lunch dismissal will be given to you by your second hour teacher and you will need to show it to your teacher right before your lunch shift and wait for the announcement to dismiss you to your early lunch. Keep up the great work!
-The paranormal club meeting scheduled for today and been postponed until next Friday October 29th.
-Next Week we will be holding a United Way TRUNK PARTY for all students and staff! The events are as follows:
Monday - Students donate as many pennies, dimes, and quarters as they can to add to our Trunk. AND Donate $1 to wear mix match clothes/shoes to school.
Tuesday, October 26th Students donate as many pennies, dimes, and quarters as they can to add to our United Way Trunk AND Donate $1 for WACKY HAIR DAY – wear wacky hair to school.
Wednesday – October 26th -Students donate as many pennies, dimes, and quarters as they can to add to our United Way Trunk AND Donate a $1 to wear pajamas to school. (College Bound Comfort Day. Students can pay $1 dollar to wear clean and appropriate pajamas for a fun school event)
Thursday, October 28thStudents donate as many pennies, dimes, and quarters as they can to add to our United Way Trunk AND Donate $10 Human Sundae (Turn Mrs. Miller, Mr. Barham, Ms. Fagbiye, Mr. Wilson, Ms. Small, Ms. Iaiennaro, Ms. Cooper-Wallace, Mr. Crites, & Mr. Allen into a human sundae). This activity will take place on 11/5/21 during 7th hour. We will run the 2:17 pm bell.
Friday, October 29th Students donate as many pennies, dimes, and quarters as they can to add to our United Way Trunk And Donate $3 “BOO” TIFUL DAY (NO Halloween MASK, WEAPONS, or items that reflect violence or anything harmful.)
-ATTENTION seniors. The date for the practice SAT day has CHANGED. Because of this, there is a NEW PERMISSION SLIP if you want to have an excused absence that day AND have already taken the SAT. The new permission slip is GOLD and can be picked up in the main office, from Mrs. Anderson in room 127, and from Mrs. Davis in room 249. Be sure to get a form and return it by TUESDAY, November 16th.
-SMTD bus passes are in - students can see Miss Hickman in the guidance center (rm26) to pick them up.
-The LHS Online Book Fair starts next week, Monday, October 25th and runs through Friday, November 5th. While books must be purchased online, you can still stop by the library to see interactive displays of books for purchase and to buy coffee, hot chocolate, and s'mores from the Around the Campfire Cafe!
