Friday, October 1st, 2021 - LANPHIER Daily Announcements

October 1, 2021

-Students - in order to be considered on time for class, you must be in the classroom when the bell rings.  If you show up to class before the bell rings, ask to go the bathroom or your locker and then return to class after the bell rings, you are considered tardy and a tardy detention must be issued by your teacher.  This is a school-wide rule.  BE ON TIME FOR ALL OF YOUR CLASSES!

-Cheer tryouts are tonight in the main gym. Please wear appropriate practice wear, make sure your hair is up off of your shoulders, no jewelry, tennis shoes, and a mask. You should arrive no later than 5:00pm. We will start roughly at 5:30pm

-Petitions for the 2021 Homecoming Court are available outside of Mrs. Anderson’s room 127, Mrs. Davis’ room 249, and the main office.  ANY student of ANY grade levels is welcome to run for the 2021 Homecoming Court.  Representatives from each class will be chosen. To be placed on the ballot, you must complete a petition requiring signatures from your classmates. Petitions MUST be completed and returned ONLY to THE SENIOR BOX LOCATED IN THE MAIN OFFICE by Friday, October 1st at 3:30.  Voting for the court will take place on-line Tuesday, October 5th.  Results will be posted on the LHS webpage by Thursday, October 7th.

-Detentions can be served in the following locations: Room 39 before school at 8:00am, Room 39 after school at 3:22pm, Room 25 during both lunch shifts. Failure to serve detentions will result in a mega detention.

-Now for a Moment of Silence.

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

-Now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual: Happy OCTOBER! Find someone in your class whom you do not know very well yet, and tell them “hello.” Then ask them what month of the year makes them the happiest.
