Monday, October 4th, 2021 - LANPHIER Daily Announcements

October 4, 2021

-Students - in order to be considered on time for class, you must be in the classroom when the bell rings.  If you show up to class before the bell rings, ask to go the bathroom or your locker and then return to class after the bell rings, you are considered tardy and a tardy detention must be issued by your teacher.  This is a school-wide rule.  BE ON TIME FOR ALL OF YOUR CLASSES!

-Attention Afternoon CACC students, when you arrive back to LHS from CACC you will not be permitted into the building until the 3:17 dismissal bell rings. This is effective immediately.

-There will be a paranormal club meeting in room 212 on Friday October 8, after school. Everyone is welcome. See Mr. Roberts in room  212 if you have any questions.

-Try-outs for the girls JV and Varsity basketball teams will be held on Monday, November 1 and Tuesday, November 2 from 3:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. in the Lober-Nika (Main) gym. Anyone interested in trying out, must have a current physical, an athletic permit card, athletic fees paid and a completed concussion form turned in before try-outs. Any questions please see Coach Collins or Coach Daniel.

-Voting for the 2021 Homecoming Court will take place on Oct 5.  To vote go to the LHS webpage, and click on the VOTE HERE for HOMECOMING button.  Voting closes at 5pm.

-Detentions can be served in the following locations: Room 39 before school at 8:00am, Room 39 after school at 3:22pm, Room 25 during both lunch shifts. Failure to serve detentions will result in a mega detention.

-You can now attend tutoring on  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30 in the large commons. You can also attend Zoom tutoring on Monday through Thursday from 3:30 - 5:00.  The Zoom link for tutoring will be posted on the main Lanphier website.

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

-Now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual: There are 13 school days left until the end of the first quarter. What do you need to do between now and then to make sure you get the best grades possible?
