-We will be holding a “We Are Grateful & Thankful” Spirit Week here at school during the week of November 15th, but we need your help now with some of our fun activities that we have planned! Please take some time before Monday, to go to the main LHS website and click on the “Thankfulness Shoutout” section on the right side. Fill out the form with a message to a staff member or student that you are thankful for! If you are able to record a short 20 second or less video as well and upload it, that would also be a great addition! Let’s show all of the deserving members of LHS how THANKFUL WE ARE FOR THEM!!
-During our “We Are Grateful & Thankful” themed week next week, we will have a SPIRIT DAY theme for each day of the week! Here are the days! We hope everyone will participate:
Monday: Stuffed & Ready for A Nap Day - Wear school appropriate pajama day!
Tuesday: Turkey Hunt Day! Everyone wear your camo or fluorescent hunting gear!
Wednesday: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Float Theme Day - Wear gear to represent your favorite float of all time in the Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Thursday: Flannel Festival Day - Wear your favorite flannel or plaid gear
Friday: Pumpkin Pie Day - Wear your orange gear to school today!
-Starting Monday at both A & B Lunch, we will be selling Grateful Grams for $1! What is a Grateful Gram? You can choose a friend or a staff member, write their name on our Grateful Gram form with a short “grateful message” and we will deliver the form and a treat to the recipient during 7th hour the week of Thanksgiving! Show how grateful you are to the deserving members at LHS by purchasing a Grateful Gram at lunch next week! These will be sold in the small Commons Monday-Wednesday of next week!
-Also...we will be holding a FUN assembly during 7th hour on Friday, November 19th (next week). If you donate an approved micro-pantry item or provide a $2 donation for the local food pantries, then you can come join the FUN! Activities during the assembly include a faculty vs. staff relay race and games, a premiere of the thankfulness shoutout video and pictures from spirit week, announcement of micro-pantry donation grade level winner, and MORE! Bring the micro-pantry donation Monday-Wednesday of next week and drop it off in the cart that corresponds to your grade level before school in the Small Commons and get your name on the list. The grade levels will be competing against each other to see who can bring in the most donations! You will be delivered a ticket to the assembly Friday morning! You can also donate $2 to the local food pantries in the Small Commons during lunch on Thursday or Friday to get an assembly ticket as well! A flyer has been sent to your Canvas announcements regarding details of the assembly.
