STUDENTS:  There are NO DELIVERIES allowed for students, this includes lunch or deliveries of any kind for students.


Attention Juniors:

The PSAT/NMSQT®, also known as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, is a version of the SAT exam. ... The PSAT/ NMSQ tests your skills in reading, writing, and math.  PSAT/NMSQT test is open to students who are currently Juniors this year that would like their scores to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship competition.

If you would like to sign up to take this exam, students may take the $17 registration fee to Mrs. Hedges in the North office by TODAY, September 11th. NO LATE REGISTRANTS CAN BE ACCEPTED.  If students have questions about the exam, they should see Mrs. Hedges.


Students, school detentions may be served before or after school in room 39, or during lunch in room 25. 


10th - 12th grade students who owe detentions are posted in the front window of the North Office. If you fail to serve your detention each detention not served becomes a mega detention. 

Mega detentions are served in the large commons starting at 3:25pm on Tuesday and Thursday. 

All questions regarding 10th - 12th grade detentions need to speak with Mrs. Hedges. 


Pink out game will be on Friday, September 27, 2019. Order forms for t-shirts are in the main office. Shirts are available in pink or grey, starting at $10. Deadline is TODAY, September 11

The Lanphier Spirit Club is selling shirts for our pink out game on September 27. Inside the ribbon says Lanphier and the O in together is a lion head. They are available in adult small-adult 3x. Short and long sleeve available.

The Superintendent’s Student Roundtable provides a forum for youth to strengthen unity between all local high schools and the community.  If you would like to be a part of the Superintendent’s Student Roundtable, please complete the on-line application, which can be located on the LHS home page.  All incoming freshmen and new high school students wishing to join the Superintendent’s Student Roundtable for the 2019-2020 school year, please apply.  Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019.  If you attended Roundtable meetings during the 2018-2019 school year, there is no need to complete the application.


Attention readers! You have the opportunity to participate in the Abe Lincoln Teen Readers’ Choice Award program this year! Sign up in the library to receive a brochure and a bookmark explaining more about the program. Reading 4 books from the list of 20 book nominees will qualify you to vote for your favorite book and join a pizza party in the library in March!


2020 Year book order forms are now available in the Main Office! Order by Friday, September 13th to get up to 4 free icons with personalization! Simply fill out the order form, enclose a check or cash and return to the Main Office. Year books are $10 off the cover price and will start out at $55. Get yours while supplies last!


ART CLUB meets every Thursday after school in room 119 from 3:30-4:30.  If you are interested in fun, community projects and working with others, then art club is for you.  No art experience is required.


Our first blood drive of the year will be on Friday, September 13.  You must be 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds to donate blood. 

FUN FACT:  We have 10-12 pints of blood in our bodies and by donating just one pint of your blood you will save THREE lives!  Ms. Rennison will be in the small commons on Tuesday, September 10th at lunch to sign up students who want to donate blood on Friday.

Last year Lanphier donated more blood than any other of the high schools in town!  Way to go LIONS!!!


There will be a paranormal club meeting after school on Friday, 9/13/19 in room 212.  New members are always welcome.  See Mr. Roberts if you have any questions.


SPANISH CLUB will meet on Monday, September 16th from 3:30-4:00 in room 43.


A GIRLS' BASKETBALL informational meeting will be held on Monday, September 16th in the cafeteria right after school.


It’s not too late to learn to sign. Sign Language Club meets Tuesday, September 17th at 3:30 to 4:15. We will meet in room 143. All Lanphier students are welcome to attend. Contact Mrs. Galusha or Mrs. Cooper for additional information. 


It is that time of year!!  The softball team’s Chicken Dinner fundraiser is coming up.  The team will be selling Nelson’s Chicken Dinner tickets.  Tickets are $10 for half a chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy corn and a roll.  What could be better…good food and you don’t have to cook.  The dinner will be September 30 from 3:30-6 in the Gardner Wrestling Gym.
