Students, school detentions may be served before or after school in room 39, or during lunch in room 25.
10th - 12th grade students who owe detentions are posted in the front window of the North Office. If you fail to serve your detention each detention not served becomes a mega detention. All questions regarding 10th - 12th grade detentions need to speak with Mrs. Hedges.
Mega detentions are served in the large commons starting at 3:25pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
The Lion Lotto Store will be open during both lunches TODAY. If you have a lotto card you would like to redeem, bring it to the store in room 37 at lunch to get your prize.
The Superintendent’s Student Roundtable provides a forum for youth to strengthen unity between all local high schools and the community. If you would like to be a part of the Superintendent’s Student Roundtable, please complete the on-line application, which can be located on the LHS home page. All incoming freshmen and new high school students wishing to join the Superintendent’s Student Roundtable for the 2019-2020 school year, please apply. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019. If you attended Roundtable meetings during the 2018-2019 school year, there is no need to complete the application.
Attention readers! You have the opportunity to participate in the Abe Lincoln Teen Readers’ Choice Award program this year! Sign up in the library to receive a brochure and a bookmark explaining more about the program. Our first blood drive of the year will be TODAY. You must be 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds to donate blood.
FUN FACT: We have 10-12 pints of blood in our bodies and by donating just one pint of your blood you will save THREE lives! Last year Lanphier donated more blood than any other of the high schools in town! Way to go LIONS!!!

The first German Club meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 17th after school in room 144. You DO NOT have to be in a German class in order to join, everybody is welcome! It is that time of year!! The softball team’s Chicken Dinner fundraiser is coming up. The team will be selling Nelson’s Chicken Dinner tickets. Tickets are $10 for half a chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy corn and a roll. What could be better…good food and you don’t have to cook. The dinner will be September 30 from 3:30-6 in the Gardner Wrestling Gym.
