Lanphier Welcomes incoming Freshman! January-2018

Welcome From Ms. Deal

2017-2018 Greetings Lanphier Families: I would first like to welcome each of you back to another awesome school year! For those who haven’t met me, my name is Tracy Deal and I am your Title I Parent Educator. This is my fourth year here at Lanphier and my 11th year in this job title. Some of you may be familiar with the roles of a Parent Educator from your child’s experience in the elementary and middle school years. But for those who are not, I would like to take this moment to give a brief summary of my roles and responsibilities. First of all my main role is to play as a liaison for the families to make certain that your student has a successful four years of high school. To ensure this I work closely with Families, Administration, faculty, and staff to help assist in the areas that a student or their parents may have a struggle. I then reach out to the community for resources needed for the student or their family. Some of you may wonder what types of resources are available. Well, these resources vary from academic, economic, physical and mental. I am also a part of the Title I family events such as Open house, Student of the Month Breakfast, Lion’s tour, parent teacher’s conferences and will be at different sports events this year to pass out Title I literature as needed. I am located in room 104, which is the FACE (Family and Community Engagement) room. I encourage each of you to be a part of our PTO-FACE Team because your voice matters. Please feel free to stop by and visit me. No appointment necessary. You may also call me at (217) 525-3080 ext. 51174. Once again welcome! Sincerely, Tracy Deal Title I Parent Educator
