Paranormal Club Wraps up Another Exciting Year!

May 22, 2015
Lanphier Paranormal CLub

Over 40 students showed up for a meeting held in September.

The fourth year of the Paranormal Club concluded on May 12th with a final meeting in which Pizza and snacks were served and students went through evidence captured from recent investigations at Bartonville Asylum and Ashmore Estates. Once again the club was very popular with over 60 students attending investigations, and meetings. The students investigated locations in Springfield and traveled on occasion. Locally 4 investigations, and over 30 students investigated the Phoenix Center, an orphanage dating back to the 1880's and later a home for the blind, and a home for Catholic unwed mothers. A small group also investigated the historic Virgil Hickox House built in 1839 and occupied by a business associate of Abraham Lincoln. Students traveled to a former Asylum in Bartonville, a poor farm/asylum in Ashmore near Charleston, and investigated the very active R Theater in Auburn Il.
The meetings consisted of discussion, evidence review, and a number of speakers from the field. Students were treated to Carl Jones who runs the Prairieland Paranormal Consortium, and teaches classes on the paranormal at Lincoln Land. Robbin Terry who owns the R Theater and Ashmore Estates visited on two occasions and donated a great deal of audio equipment to the club. Psychic Debra Charveron and medium Michelle Nevill spoke and did readings for students on different occasions. Some investigations are being planned for the summer months and we are looking forward to another great year in 2015-2016. We certainly are going to miss our seniors who have been here since the founding of the club 4 years ago. Check out our links for evidence, photos, and reports. We are still in the process of posting a few more things before the year ends, so please check back!
