On Thursday, September 16, between 9-10:00 a.m. Lawrence Education Center will host a reception celebrating successes during National Adult Education Week. This Congressional Declaration is the culmination of literacy advocacy and outreach intended to raise awareness of the need for programs and services for adult learners.
Lawrence Education Center, along with more than 100 other ICCB funded programs in Illinois, provides instruction to more than 123,000 adult education learners each year.
Last year, Lawrence graduated 152 students.
