Free blood sugar screenings!! Friends welcome!!
All funds raised will go to the “Beta Cells,” Noah S. biking team for Tour de Cure on May 21. Tour de Cure (TDC) is an American Diabetes Association bike ride that raises funds to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by the disease.
Nearly 26 million people in the U.S. have diabetes. Another 79 million are at risk. If current trends continue, researchers say 1 in 3 kids born in the year 2000 will have diabetes in their lifetime.
Take a stand against this epidemic, and have fun in the process!!
Come to the dance, and help Noah’s team reach their goal!!! Check out his TDC webpage, http://main.diabetes/goto/betacells.
A representative from Abbott Diabetes Care will be on site to perform blood sugar finger sticks for anyone who’d like to learn more about their own blood sugar and blood sugar control for people with diabetes.
Kids who want their blood sugar tested must bring this signed permission slip to the dance!!! ( See the attached form)
