Congratulations to Mr. Mitchell and all of the students who had their art work submitted to the Scholastic Art Competition!  

LMS students competed against students from throughout the Mid-Central region of Illinois. Seven students received awards!! Congratulations to Mr. Mitchell for inspiring so many students!!

Submissions are juried by leaders in the visual and literary arts. Panelists look for works that best exemplify originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. 

Gold Key artworks will go on and have their work judged against other artwork on a National level.

Locally, these students will have their work exhibited at the Springfield Art Association alongside other regional winners.
