Per the IESA's addendum, we can now have baseball as a school sport this fall!! Baseball tryouts have been rescheduled to Wednesday, Aug. 5th & Thursday, Aug. 6th at Southeast High School from 5:30-7:00pm each evening. All boys must bring a face mask, a baseball glove, and their own water bottle. Other equipment such as your own bat, helmet, etc. may be brought as well but are not required. We suggest not buying any new equipment for tryouts. If you have any questions please feel free to email Mrs. Lott, athletic director, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Good luck to everyone!
Other important information: At any point, baseball could be terminated per the Governor’s orders if we move back phases, but we will continue to push forward and hope for the best! All social distancing guidelines will be followed, temperatures will be taken before the athlete leaves the parent's/guardian's vehicle, COVID questions will be asked, and sanitation protocol will be followed. If your son makes the team, a sports physical is needed for participation. There will be a short meeting held at the beginning of tryouts on Wednesday for all parents/guardians.
