All of the 8th grade students at Lincoln Magnet had the opportunity to participate in the Illinois History Fair. The Illinois History Fair is an annual statewide competition, which allows middle school students the experience to improve their research and writing skills by exploring Illinois’s rich history by writing a research paper. This was a wonderful experience for each of our Eighth Grade students and we are proud of the amazing research papers and projects that were developed.
Today, 48 students represented Lincoln Magnet School in various categories at the Regional History Fair at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. Each of the students scored in the top categories for their research paper and students also represented us with their technology projects.
42 student projects (paper, media and display) were selected to advance to the State History Fair Expo. They will represent Lincoln Magnet School in May.
Congratulations to the following students for their amazing performance.
Superior– Students who scored Superior will advance to the State Competition.
