Announcements for 3/18

March 18, 2011

Good morning, today is Friday, March 18th, and it is an A Day for everyone!

We will be running a 1:30 p.m early dismissal schedule today.

The LMS Jazz Band will perform at the SHS Swing into Spring tonight at the SHS Commons. Musicians need to arrive at Springfield High School at 7:00 pm. Enter through the Commons (Northwest side of SHS, corner of Washington and Parker). Report to the band room to warm-up and tune. Instrument cases will stay in the band room. We will go to the Commons at 7:25 to set up. Our performance will be from 7:30 to 8:00. You may leave then, but do try to stay to hear some of the other performances.

Lincoln Magnet School will host a gallery walk of the 2011 History Fair projects this afternoon. The students worked hard first semester on their History Fair papers and created projects to go along with them. Students will showcase their work and many projects will be moving on to the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (IHPA) Regional History Fair.

We would like to welcome parents and family members to come and view these outstanding projects from 12:30-1:15.

Please contact Lincoln Magnet at 525-3236 if you are able to attend.
