Lincoln Magnet School will host a gallery walk of the 2012 History Fair projects on Friday, March 9th. The students worked hard first semester on their History Fair papers and created projects to go along with them. Students will showcase their work and many projects will be moving on to the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (IHPA) Regional History Fair.
We would like to welcome parents and family members to come and view these outstanding projects from 12:30-1:15.

Exhibit Project Set-up 9:00-10:00 (the building will be open at 8:00 if anyone wants to arrive earlier) @Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library
*Only exhibits will be on display.
Project Judging 10:00-1:00 (Students will not be present during judging.)
10:00-10:30 “Ghosts of the Library”- Students, Teachers, and Parents are invited to attend a performance at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and meet the Ghost actor for a question and answer session. Meet in the museum lobby at 10:00.
Public Viewing of Projects 1:00-2:00 @ Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library (Parents & students may attend.)
Awards Ceremony 2:00 @ Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library (Students with papers and/or projects should attend.)
Students should leave with parents after setting up their exhibit and return at 1:00 for the public viewing and awards.
Track Practice Schedule:
Monday, March 12: ALL BOYS AND GIRLS field events at LMS
Tuesday, March 13: BOYS ONLY MANDATORY Practice for ALL runners and jumpers at SE
Wednesday, March 14: GIRLS ONLY MANDATORY Practice for ALL runners and jumpers at SE
Thursday, March 15: Runners and jumpers will be going to SE to practice. Shot Put and Discus will practice at LMS. Athletes who do multiple events should plan on Shot and Discus.
TRACK UNIFORM ORDER FORMS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MARCH 9. LATE ORDER FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. PAYMENT IS DUE WITH THE ORDER FORM.
Students attending Springfield High School in the fall should consider attending their Activities Night in the commons area on March 15, 2012 at 7 p.m.
The SHS Booster Club will be selling Spirit and Pride merchandise and students will get to learn more about the school activities and talk to players and coaches in sports. This is a great time for parents and students to find out more about these new opportunities in high school.
