"Hats Off to Lincoln!"
We would like to invite our current and former LMS students and families to a Bicentennial and Retirement Celebration at Lincoln Magnet School. Please join us as we Educate, Commemorate, and Celebrate Our Great Leaders on Thursday, May 28, 2009, 5:30-7:30 in the evening. We will wish Mrs. Kruger and Mrs. Davis well as they head into retirement; student work will be displayed commemorating Abraham Lincoln; there will be a special choir performance; and the eighth grade film festival will follow the celebration. Concessions will be available. We look forward to visiting with families on Thursday evening and celebrating great leaders!
The 8th grade Film Festival will follow the "Hats off to Lincoln" Celebration. 8th grade students will showcase their community movies. Please join us for a night at the movies!
Students may not take computers home any more. The last day to use computers in class will be Friday, May 29th.
We will have cheerleading clinics on Wednesday, May 27th for current 6th and 7th grade girls who want to try out for cheerleading next year. Try-outs for 7th graders will be after school on Friday, May 29th (2:30-4:00). The 6th grade tryouts will be on Friday at 6:00, after they return from their field trip.
The popular MacBook Magic classes for 6th and 7th grade students which will be held June, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from 1:45-3:45. These are computer classes held on our 1:30 dismissal days. Students who attend these classes may take their computers home for the summer. The form and $15 fee are due next week on Tuesday, May 26. Students may turn money in to the main office.
We will have another round of interviews for the students who are interested in the AVID program for next year, and were absent for the first round. Please stay tuned!
Cell phones are to be used in the main office before school, at lunch, or after school Phones should not be visible or heard except when they are being used in the main office.
